A marine and offshore safety course is a specialized training program with ISO 19906:2019 standard that instructs participants on the numerous risks and hazards present in these environments as well as how to detect, manage, and reduce these risks to ensure the crew’s safety and the environment’s protection. Participants in the hands-on training portion of the course learn how to apply safety protocols and procedures in marine and offshore environments. In order to reduce risks in these contexts, they also learn how to do risk analyses and put control measures in place. Participants gain knowledge of emergency response protocols, including how to handle spills, fires, and other situations that could arise on ships or offshore constructions.
