Overview

The Award in Crane Safe Operator Training is designed to provide comprehensive training to individuals interested in becoming safe and skilled crane operators. This course emphasizes the importance of safety, operational knowledge, and proper handling techniques to ensure the efficient and secure operation of cranes. Participants will gain a solid understanding of crane types, components, inspection procedures, load calculations, signaling techniques, and safe operating practices.

Duration

The qualification has recommended course duration of 4-5 days.
Note: However the course duration may be increased to meet additional learning needs if required but not reduced.

• Introduction to crane operations and safety regulations
• Crane types, components, and operational controls
• Crane inspection procedures and maintenance requirements
• Load charts and load calculations
• Rigging and lifting accessories
• Safe operating practices and risk management
• Crane signaling and communication techniques
• Emergency procedures and response planning
• Crane stability and working near power lines
• Specialized crane operations (e.g., mobile cranes, tower cranes, overhead cranes)
• Practical hands-on training and simulations

Assessment

This qualification is evaluated using assessments and Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQ). To receive this qualification, the learner must pass both tests with a certain percentage.
